Dr. Burton was born in Syria. She chose the Damascus University School of Medicine, where she earned her Medical Degree in 1986. She also earned her Masters in Internal Medicine at Damascus University in 1989. Dr. Burton completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the Damascus University Hospitals in Damascus, Syria in 1989. She completed at Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Laribiosier Universite’ Hospital Saint Lazard in Paris France in 1993. Dr. Burton then chose to the University of Kentucky Hospitals in Lexington Kentucky for an Internal Medicine Residency. Dr. Burton a member of the American Medical Association, The Indiana State Medical Association, the Indianapolis Medical Society, and the American College of Physicians. She enjoys skiing, tennis, and classical music. Dr. Burton is located at Northeast Medical Group in Geist.
