Dr. Villarruel attended Indiana
University Northwest, where he
earned his Bachelors Degree in
Chemistry. He then the Indiana
University School of Medicine where
he earned his Medical Degree in
1980. From there, Dr. Villarruel
proceeded to Emanuel Hospital in
Portland Oregon for both his
Surgical Internship in 1981 and his
Surgical Residency in 1983. He chose
the Womack Army Hospital for his
Family Practice Residency in Fort
Bragg, North Carolina in 1990. He
also completed an Occupational
Medicine Training Course at the
University of Cincinnati College of
Medicine. Dr. Villarruel was
certified by the American Board of
Family Practice in 1991, and
recertified in 1997 & 2003. He is
also certified by the Fellow of
American Academy of Family
Physicians in 1999. He has practiced
medicine in the United States Army
and was the Medical Director at
Navistar International Indianapolis
plant. Dr. Villarruel is located at
